Not far from us here in town, John takes some time to appreciate the return of blossoms, bugs, and birds to his garden. A few calm minutes of watering our plants is one of the best parts of my day, and the patient watering and waiting through the year gives me a chance to add some color to this page.

The bouganvilla leans over the fence from our neighbor's yard, heavy this time of year with fat red blossoms. They leave a thick carpet on the gravel by the fency. The penstamen opened up just this week, revealing huge white flowers.

So far, it's still pleasant to sit on the porch in the morning with a cup of coffee, but I can feel the summer coming.
