A number of years ago, I got an idea: To tell lots of stories about places I had lived. It was a way to really identify with a place, to be a real resident of a particular location at a particular time. The short-lived web project was called geographies. I always wanted to tell more stories, but never really got around to much more than introducing the places where I had lived.
I was reminded of geographies when I stumbled upon The City Stories Project, a large-scale, collaborative sort of endeavor to do just what I had wanted to do back when. Maybe I'll start telling some Tucson stories.
