...I don't like Mondays.
Well, most Mondays are just fine. Some, like Presidents Day, however, are federal holidays that are not observed by my _state-run_ institute of higher learning. Is this like daylight savings, which the State of Arizona stubbornly ignores? Is this the vestige of some strange frontier mentality ("Cattle don't graze themselves, and the goverment doesn't dictate our days off!")? The mail doesn't even come. Is it even legal for them to make me show up to see how many of my students took the three-day weekend anyway? How can I demand goods and services (thereby making it more likely that someone will be employed to produce those goods and services) from the hardware store if I have to go teach class?
I wanna shoot the whole day down.
