I have the technology, too

An entirely unsuccessful strategy:

“I got my paper from Google. I’m sure my instructor has never heard of Google. Nobody else even uses Google. I’ll never be discovered.”

Right?

  1. See, this is exactly why I don’t put papers up on my web sites. Not because they’re any great accomplishment that will shame all who view them, as one might expect, but because I just know some undergrad out there is waiting, fingers a-tremble, to google three words in my title and grab my paper for his class.

  2. Fortunately, I’m an asutute observer and become suspicious when a paper goes from saying, “medicine becomes medicalized because of doctor’s being greedy, about their salarys” to “medicalization, therefore, is a peculiar outcome that mirrors the processes identified by Pulizter Prize-winning social historian Paul Starr as the unprecedented wielding of cultural authority by physicians.”

I know, I’m a big dork. I pick up on these little changes.
