I leave early tomorrow to attend a conference of Local currency activists and organizers. In attendance will be some prominent writers and activists in the local currency community, and I hope to speak with some of them about my dissertation project. When I return, I will get my project off the ground with some serious data collection activity.
My trip tomorrow will go something like this: Airplane to Chicago; airplane to Albany; taxi to Amtrak; train to Rhinecliff; carpool to Bard College. Geeze, I’m tired just thinking about it, and I haven’t even reached the conference yet.
Fatigue and all, it should be a good long weekend of meeting people, formulating some further research ideas, and figuring out how my project fits into the (small, so far) realm of work on local currencies.
Speaking of currency, I still have some gmail invitations left. Come and get ‘em.
