Longitudinal

Timeline is cool. It’s a javascript-powered engine for displaying time-based data. You can scroll around, and it has a mini-window at the bottom for navigation. I have no real use for it, but the examples—dinosaurs, parallel timelines of Christian and Jewish histories, the minute-by-minute assassination of JFK—are pretty cool to explore. It can load up your own data in XML format, too; they’re provided lots of documentation.
